The National Theatre of Costa Rica is one of the country’s most important historic and cultural buildings. Opened in 1897, it is known for its architecture, interior decoration, paintings, sculptures and heritage value. In addition to its artistic program, it offers guided tours to explore the building’s history and main spaces.

Hours:
Guided tours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The building remains open until 5:00 p.m.

Costa Rican visitors: ₡2,000
Senior citizens: ₡1,500
Foreign visitors: ₡3,500
Children under 12: free
