Turrialba Volcano National Park protects one of Costa Rica’s most important active volcanoes, located in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range in Cartago. The park offers volcanic landscapes, craters, mountain views, highland forest and active geological processes. Tourist access is allowed only through routes and trails authorized by SINAC.
