TENORIO VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK

Tenorio Volcano National Park is a protected area within the Arenal Tempisque Conservation Area. It is best known for Río Celeste, its waterfall, Los Teñideros and rainforest trails. The river’s sky-blue color is created by a natural mineral reaction, especially visible where two streams meet.

Hours:
Daily: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Visitors may remain inside the park until 4:00 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased online only.

Costa Rican and resident children: ₡565
Foreign adults: US$13.56
Foreign children: US$5.65
Fees may change; confirm through the official SINAC system before visiting. 

CRMaps Tip:
Buy your ticket before visiting and arrive early. The trail can be muddy, especially during rainy season. Bring closed shoes, water, insect repellent, a light rain jacket and protection for your phone or camera. Swimming is not allowed inside the park.
