NATIONAL MUSEUM OF COSTA RICA

The National Museum of Costa Rica is located in the former Bellavista Barracks in downtown San José. It is one of the country’s most important museums, bringing together history, archaeology, heritage, art, nature and national memory. The building preserves historic traces, including marks connected to the 1948 Civil War and the abolition of the army.
