CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

The Children’s Museum is an interactive museum located in the former Central Penitentiary building in San José, now part of the Costa Rican Center of Science and Culture. Known as the “Castle of Dreams,” it offers educational rooms where children and adults can learn through play about science, technology, the human body, space, history, nature, road safety and other topics.

Hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday: closed.
Fee:
Children: ₡2,500
Visitors over 15 years old: ₡3,000
People with disabilities and senior citizens: free regular admission.
