Río Celeste is one of Costa Rica’s most famous natural attractions, located inside Tenorio Volcano National Park. It is known for the intense sky-blue color of its waters, created by a natural mineral reaction at the area called Los Teñideros. The trail includes the waterfall, forest paths, viewpoints, volcanic bubbling areas and scenic rainforest landscapes.

Daily: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Visitors may remain inside the park until 4:00 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased online only.

Costa Rican and resident children: ₡565
Foreign adults: US$13.56
Foreign children: US$5.65
Fees may change; confirm through the official SINAC system before visiting.

Buy your ticket before visiting and arrive early. The trail can be wet or muddy, especially during rainy season, so closed shoes or boots, water, insect repellent and a light rain jacket are recommended. Swimming is not allowed inside the park.
