MARINO BALLENA NATIONAL PARK

Marino Ballena National Park is one of the most important marine-coastal protected areas on Costa Rica’s South Pacific coast. It protects beaches, mangroves, reefs, islands, marine life and the famous natural formation known as the “Whale Tail,” visible during low tide. It is one of the country’s main places for humpback whale watching, especially during migration season.
