Playa Langosta is a quiet beach south of Tamarindo, known for its more residential atmosphere, sunsets, rocky formations and good surf conditions. It is a more relaxed alternative to Tamarindo Beach, although the ocean can have rocks and strong currents.

• Surf, especially near the river mouth
• Rocks, tide pools and coastal scenery

• Nearby hotels, villas and residences
• Easy access from Tamarindo

Open all day.
No official closing hours.

Free public access.
Private parking or nearby services may charge separately.

Good for walking, sunsets and surfing. For swimming, check ocean conditions carefully because some areas have rocks and currents. Best visited during low or mid tide.
